Hey! I am Coach Rachel, and I will be the Varsity Head Coach this year. This is my 5th year coaching at Brown Deer, but I have lived in the village for 5+ years.  I have 10+ years of club volleyball coaching experience with Midwest Penguins. I attended Marquette University, where I played club volleyball and graduated with a degree in each environmental engineering and civil engineering. I have an M.S. in technical communication from Arizona State University. I now run my own technical writing business.  I am a mom to my beautiful 1-year-old son Laika. In my free time, I love to read, travel, play volleyball, and spend time with my family including my husband, cats, and dog.
